It is time to get back to some real photography. Here are some images that I feel are strong, with some abstract qualities.

Again, this isn't my normal photo post. I look at Halloween as a time to be creative. This year my theme was "Pirates." Here are some pictures and video clips showing my efforts. We had quite a band of ruffians.

This isn't my normal digital photography. In fact some of these images are over 10 years old. This is just my holiday spirit showing a little.
Below is an image I made after I saw some of those hidden 3D pictures. Just unfocus to see the spiders and pumkings jump around.
When I was an art student, one of the first design assignments was to create a totally arbitrary design, a design without thought. The student who came up with the best solution (not me) was the one who took a black matt board, covered it with acetate film, and then filled the space between with little white dots, the kind you get from a hole punch. Each time the board was moved, the design would change. I've never been able to look at those little white dots without thinking about that assignment.
The true answer to the assignment is nature. Nature provides the design without thought. Life grows Wind blows Clouds roll by Seasons change. The design without thought Is all around us. All we need do Is provide the frame.

The photographs here were taken with various 35mm and digital cameras. Over the years I have used Pentax 35mm, Kodak P850, Kodak Z812IS. (YES, I use Kodak cameras, and have for some years. My first camera was a Kodak Brownie which I still have, although, I haven’t used it for nearly 50 years. I have used other cameras, notably Ziess, Pentax and Olympus), and my newest camera, a Nikon digital model.
