This was my 2017 entry in the blueline arts membership show. It is a blurry vision of our flag and the Pledge of Allegiance. It comes from my frustration over the widening gulf between factions in our nation. We seem to be moving farther and farther from a United States. I chose the location of the words carefully. Allegiance, United States, Republic, One Nation, Liberty and Justice. The view is blurred. The flag is out of focus, multiple images, disappearing.
