Betelgeuse
My
digital imagery lately had been all about this amazing Universe we find
ourselves afloat in. I name each piece for a star. This one I call
Betelgeuse. Betelgeuse is a
red supergiant — the largest class of stars -- estimated at 640 light-years
from Earth. It’s the ninth-brightest star in the night sky
and second-brightest in the constellation of Orion. It is found in the shoulder of the arm holding the sword or
club.
What it would look like to take that terribly long journey to this far-off system I don't really know, but I like to imagine.
